Mazatlán Airport Best in Latin America

Mazatlán’s General Rafael Buelna International Airport received the Airport Service Quality Award for 2011 as the best regional airport in Latin America and the Caribbean by the Airports Council International. The Airport Service Quality Award is the most important award for quality service given by the airport industry worldwide. The Airports Council International consists of 580 members, operating 1,650 airports in 179 countries and territories. Its main purpose is to represent the interests of airports and promote quality in management and airport operations. The CEO of OMA, Porfirio Gonzalez, said this recognition was given to the airport based upon the effort and dedication of the entire team at OMA Mazatlán. It reflects the commitment to continuous improvement and quality of service at 13 airports in the group. OMA is the company that operates and manages General Rafael Buelna International Airport.
